Bedrock Studios has inked a deal with Strange Weather Films, which is headed by Andrew Adamson and Aron Warner, reports VARIETY. Adamson wrote and directed the first two SHREK films, as well as produced, directed and wrote the first two CHRONICLES OF NARNIA pictures. Warner produced the first three SHREK films.
As part of the deal, the duo will develop projects for Adamson to helm and Warner and Bedrock to co-produce. The projects Adamson doesn't direct, he will produce, while mentoring young directors on those productions. Bedrock will fund the development of Strange Weather projects from design to early visualizations.
Bedrock is run by former ILM exec Ed Jones and Cary Granat. Bedrock is based in Santa Monica. Jeffrey Fierson is the head of development.
Bedrock's first film will be the animated production TURKEYS, directed by Ash Brannon and voiced by Owen Wilson and Woody Harrelson.
