Basil Brush Moves Into Comics

Entertainment Rights (ER) has signed up GE Publishing to produce a 4-weekly BASIL BRUSH comic. The magazine is targeted toward the CBBC TV's popular THE BASIL BRUSH SHOW's loyal fan base of boys and girls ages 6-10.

In addition to the cheeky comic strip, the magazine will include pages dedicated to Basil's favorite pranks, puzzles, games, interesting and silly facts and competitions. There are interactive pages with prizes and giveaways and opportunities for readers to send in their mail to Basil's Ultimate Readers Postbag aka BURP.

Every issue will be cover mounted with a branded gift. To promote the launch the first issue will be bagged with two free gifts. BASIL BRUSH JOKES will hits shelves in the U.K. May 12, 2004, priced £1.75.
