Suzy Barbieri joins Klasky Csupo Animation Studio as svp of feature film development. Barbieri will head up the feature film development team, which includes Michael Faulkner (vp of feature film development) and will work closely with studio founders Arlene Klasky and Gabor Csupo in developing a diversified slate of projects for the studio.
We have been focused on bringing in an individual whose experience and leadership skills will enhance our feature business and Suzy is that person, said Klasky Csupo ceo Terry Thoren, to whom Barbieri reports. She has worked successfully in both a creative and corporate environment and will be a great collaborator on our future endeavors.
Barbieri said, I am thrilled to be working with animation pioneers, Gabor Csupo and Arlene Klasky. They have an incredible creative sense and I look forward to working with them and their team in developing quality projects for the big screen.
Barbieri spent the last 12 years at Imagine Entertainment, most recently serving as vp, motion pictures from 2000-04. During her tenure at Imagine, she co-produced BLUE CRUSH for Universal Pictures and worked on DR. SEUSS THE CAT IN THE HAT, starring Mike Myers.
