Bancroft and McDowell Join Animated Epic Cast

Two more screen legends, Anne Bancroft and Malcolm McDowell, have joined the all-star cast of DELGO, the indie produced fantasy adventure film from Atlanta-based Fathom Studios. The rest of the voice cast includes Jennifer Love Hewitt, Val Kilmer, Michael Clarke Duncan, Chris Kattan, Kelly Ripa, Eric Idle and Burt Reynolds.

The celebrated actress is voicing the villain, Sedessa, an intelligent, vain, eccentric leader who is as ambitious as she is charming. "We are thrilled to be working with Anne Bancroft," says co-director, Jason Maurer. "She is talent, grace, strength and seduction all in one. Her voice embodies the character.

Recognized for his portrayals of chilling characters, McDowell (A CLOCKWORK ORANGE) lends his voice to Raius, a fierce, dogmatic, intellectual officer who knows he is better than others. Maurer said McDowell, is truly one of the finest actors of his generation. And that voice he brought chills to my spine playing Raius. He is the master of making loathsome characters appealing."

The cast includes: Val Kilmer (THE DOORS, TOMBSTONE) voicing Bogardus, a fearless and cocky street-smart soldier; Jennifer Love Hewitt (HEARTBREAKERS, THE TUXEDO) voicing the feisty Princess Kyla; Chris Kattan (SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE) voicing Filo, a fast-talking, wise-cracking smart-aleck; comedian and cult icon; Eric Idle (MONTY PYTHON) voicing Spig, a bumbling, pompous-yet dimwitted-imp; Michael Clarke Duncan (DAREDEVIL, THE GREEN MILE) voicing Elder Marley, a mystical Stonesage master; Lou Gossett, Jr. (AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN) is voicing the benevolent King Zahn; KELLY RIPA (Live With Regis and Kelly) voices the Princess' handmaiden; Burt Reynolds (BOOGIE NIGHTS, SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT) is voicing Delgo's Father and Sally Kellerman (M*A*S*H) is narrating the film.

All thats left to cast is the title role of the hero, Delgo, in the film that has created a worldwide following largely due to the digital dailies, a message board on the movie's Website (www.delgo.com), where the studio's production teams post selected works-in-progress, allowing fans to watch the making of the film as it happens.
