BabyFirst TV Enters Taiwan

BabyFirst has expanded its Asian presence by adding Taiwan to its growing international roster.

The channel is a 24/7 commercial-free educational and child development channel for babies, toddlers and their parents.

Partnering with BabyFirst in Taiwan is Chunghwa, the country's top IPTV provider.

Making the announcement of the latest international sign-on for the channel was Glenn Kopelson, Executive Vice President of Distribution for BabyFirst.

The feed, which will come from TELSTAR 10 satellite, will carry audio feeds in both Mandarin and English.

The addition of Taiwan follows on the heels of BabyFirst's recent entry into Korea, via IPTV, reflecting the channel's concentration on the Asian marketplace.

A multi award-winning channel recognized by numerous prestigious parenting and child development organizations and media, BabyFirstTV most recently earned its third consecutive iParenting Award for Greatest Products of 2007 and 2008 (in the television category).

The channel and its programming is under the guidance of an advisory board comprised of internationally noted child psychologists, educators and pediatricians.

On the international front, BabyFirst also recently closed carriage deals in Canada (Rogers Cable and Bell ExpressVu) and France (Canal Sat).

BabyFirst is also available in the UK (BSkyB), as well as Central America and the Caribbean.
