Digital Creative Development Corporation (DC2) announced that it has entered into a strategic distribution alliance with Heavy.com, a Web destination blending music, video and animation. Under the terms of the deal, DC2 will provide programming and various other business services to Heavy.com. In turn, DC2 will have access to Heavy.coms distribution pipeline that reaches over 135 million Internet users. DC2's strategy is to acquire and invest in entertainment content companies, with a focus on broadband content delivery, and to provide a comprehensive array of Internet-related business-to-business services. "This distribution agreement with Heavy.com is a major step in the implementation of our business strategy," said Ralph Sorrentino, president and CEO of DC2. "Heavy.com is an emerging leader in broadband Internet entertainment, and having access to their extensive distribution pipeline will be invaluable as we continue to develop our own digital broadband content, expanding upon our recent acquisition of EYECANDY. Furthermore, we will continue to acquire and invest in ventures similar to EYECANDY allowing us to provide end-users the highest quality of original content specifically developed for digital broadband use. As a leading broadband content developer, our agreement with Heavy.com is in line with our aggressive distribution strategy and we look forward to bringing cutting-edge, new-media entertainment to millions of Internet users worldwide." Simon Assaad, CEO of Heavy.com, commented, "Through our alliance with DC2, Heavy.com has gained a wealth of content from an invaluable strategic partner in the digital broadband content arena. Our co-marketing efforts will seize the opportunity to introduce an enthusiastic audience to a new genre of original digital content. We look forward to further developing our relationship with DC2, as it relates to our core business and our current strategic partnerships."
