Axthelm to Direct Marketing for ANIMAX

Veteran advertising and production exec Stephen Axthelm joins ANIMAX as director of marketing, the digital animation, interactive and brand entertainment studio based in Los Angeles.

As exec producer of hundreds of advertising and promotional campaigns and author of strategic, creative and integrated marketing plans for many more, he brings a broad skill set to ANIMAXs work in a range of categories and genres.

Stephens varied experience in marketing, advertising and production perfectly meshes with our goals of building ANIMAX into a powerhouse provider of creative solutions for advertisers, agencies and programmers, said Michael Bellavia, ANIMAX ceo. Axthelm comes to ANIMAX from running his own Connecticut-based consultancy for companies in the advertising and marketing field. Previously he was md of Crossroads Television, the creative services and broadcast promotion arm of commercial production house Crossroads Films. Before that, Axthelm was founder/exec producer of JLSA Music, an advertising music production company and studio based in New York. He began his career as partner and executive producer of Arc Films, a New York production house that worked on advertising, corporate communications and direct response assignments.

ANIMAX (www.ANIMAXentertainment.com) is an award-winning full-service animation and interactive production company founded in 2002 by actor/writer/director Dave Thomas and marketing exec Andrew Bain. With a focus on developing brand entertainment, ANIMAX has produced animation for Disney Channel, ESPN and Warner Bros.; interactive Websites for Universal Studios, 20th Century Fox and J.D. Power & Associates; and multimedia applications for Peachtree and StudyDog, among other clients. In addition, ANIMAX has several TV shows in active production and development.
