AWN's President Ron Diamond, C.O.O Dan Sarto, General Manager Annick
Teninge and Editor-In-Chief Heather Kenyon will attend the upcoming
Annecy Festival (June 4 - 9, 2001). Ron Diamond will serve as a Jury
member for short and feature films. If you'd like to arrange a
meeting with us to showcase your latest animation initiatives, please
send an email to editor@awn.com, with 'Annecy Meeting' in the subject
of the e-mail, or leave a message in our mailboxes at the festival.
Filmmakers, we would like to invite you to submit your short films
for possible review in Animation World Magazine (http://mag.awn.com).
We will need a VHS copy (PAL or NTSC), background information as well
as an image release form in order to be able to publish any images
and clips (limited to 30 seconds) from your film. If you are
interested, feel free to contact us at the festival.

This year, Annecy will pay tribute to Great Britain, with a profile
of Aardman Animations, along with screenings of classic British
shorts, THE YELLOW SUBMARINE, the Bolex Brothers' THE SECRET
ADVENTURES OF TOM THUMB, and more. Other programs include
"Advertising And Animation," "Films In Relief," "Rabbitmation," plus
a tribute to Alexandre Alexeieff and Alison de Vere. The MIFA expo
will be open June 6-9, 2001, with conferences on topics such as
technology development and the interaction between video games and TV
series. For more information, visit www.annecy.org.
