For LAND OF THE LOST, Rhythm & Hues upped its dino creation with some new skin and muscle work. Bill Westenhofer, the visual effects supervisor, tells us all about working on Grumpy, the T-Rex: he thinks it surpasses what's been done to date. In fact, R&H was able to take advantage of some INCREDIBLE HULK innovation as well: letting skin slide over muscles that are in the process of deforming and picking up those shapes on the surface. Coming up, we also have an interview with Kevin Mannens, the effects technical director at Sony Pictures Imageworks, one of the founders of TD-College, a new online school specifically designed to train TDs for CG production.
