We've been negotiating for a while with MPC to cover its new Santa Monica-based boutique, and finally you can read Ellen Wolff's informative report. Turns out the timing couldn't be better, with Tim Sarnoff departing Sony Pictures Imageworks to spearhead the new Technicolor Digital Prods. division. You see, Technicolor (which is owned by Thomson) oversees MPC, which now includes MPC LA as well as MPC Vancouver. Meanwhile, Tara Bennett also discovers the vfx secrets of DRAGONBALL EVOLUTION this week while Alain Bielik soon gets the lowdown on CRANK: HIGH VOLTAGE.
