Digital Musings From the Editor:

I just got back from NAB in Las Vegas, where 90,000 people gathered this week to check out all of the new digital and HD equipment we’ve heard so much about, along with the latest and greatest in hardware and software for animation and vfx. So there’s plenty of tech news to check out. Keep in mind that two of the biggest buzzwords were “interoperability” and “increased workflow,” so there’s plenty of convergence taking place, and that’s good news for everyone.

Speaking of which, Ryan Lesser reviews Alias’ Sketchbook Pro and the Wacom Cintiq 18sx tablet as stand alone products and also as a working pair. Meanwhile, later this week, as part of our continuing gaming coverage for April, Henry Turner explores the latest advances in cinematics, including the much ballyhooed PlayStation 2 game from ROBOT, ONIMUSHA 3, which shows off the versatility of 3ds max.
