AWN GALLERY OPENING: WALERIAN BOROWCZYK, THE ORCHESTRATING ANGEL.
Artist, painter, sculptor, writer, photographer, designer and director,
this prolific Polish creator has authored more than thirty short films and
over a dozen feature films. He has also received an impressive number of
awards from international festivals. Marked by an intensely personal style,
Borowczyk's films are distinguished as much by their ideas as by their
forms. AWN is most pleased to present this Art Gallery composed of over 100
pieces. Some of them were produced for the shooting of his films, others --
paintings, photographs -- are not connected to his films. In addition to
the artwork, you can view Quicktime movies from "Angels' Games" (1964) and
"The Theatre of Mr. and Mrs. Kabal" (1967).
