ASIFA-Colorado, ASIFA's newly-formed chapter, is hosting the following events: On Thursday, February 1, 2000 at 6:30 pm, animation historian Giannalberto Bendazzi (author of "Cartoons, One Hundred Years of Cinema Animation") will give a lecture on Italian animation. ASIFA-Colorado members, guests, animation students, animation lovers or members-to-be are welcome. On Wednesday, March 7, 2001 at 6:30 pm, Chris Robinson, executive director of the Ottawa International Film Festival, will present a special screening of "The Best of Ottawa '00," featuring award-winners from the 2000 Ottawa animation festival. On Thursday, April 5, 2001 at 6:30 pm, Zbigniew Dowgiello, a Polish computer animation artist, will screen excerpts from his computer animated film and discuss the ways in which computers empower today's artists ideas and visions of the world. All events will take place at the Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design (RMCAD), 6875 E. Evans Ave., Denver, Colorado, USA.
