Animation World Network is requesting thoughts and memories of Ollie Johnston to include in a remembrance article we wish to publish on May 9, 2008. We are looking for artists' memories of working with Ollie or how they were influenced by his work. In addition, we will also accept drawings and photos that celebrate his life and accomplishments.
All material must be sent to AWN's managing editor Rick DeMott by May 2. E-mail (rick@awn.com) is preferable, but anyone wishing to mail material should send it to 6525 Sunset Blvd., GS10, Hollywood, CA 90028. Please note that if you do mail material, it must be received by AWN by May 2 to ensure its inclusion in the tribute.
We hope that you will have the time to contribute and we thank you for your participation. We hope that this tribute will serve as a lasting memorial to the legacy of a truly gifted artist who will be greatly missed by all who knew him, as well as by the entire animation community.
