Syd Mead, one of the world's most sought after visual futurists, created the look for movies like BLADE RUNNER, TRON and MISSION TO MARS. At Comic-Con, we will be selling Syd's most popular books, OBLAGON and SENTURY -- a recent release that received critical acclaim, as well as various posters and art works. Limited editions of "The 200th Running of the Kentucky Derby" (lithograph signed and numbered) and other posters are also available in the AWN Store. Syd will be signing at the AWN booth on Saturday, August 3 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Bill Plympton is an animator and artist who is probably best known for his successful short films such as HOW TO KISS, 25 WAYS TO QUIT SMOKING and the Oscar-nominated YOUR FACE. Bill is also the author of many graphic novels and comics including THE SLEAZY CARTOONS OF BILL PLYMPTON and MONICA: THE UNTOLD STORY. Bill will be at Comic-Con to present his most recent animated feature, MUTANT ALIENS, which will be screening at Comic-Con International, on Thursday, August 1, 2002 at 10:00 pm. At Comic-Con, we will be selling Bill Plympton's most popular books and videos, and other Plympton products are available through the AWN Store. Bill will be signing at the AWN booth on Saturday, August 3 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
