AWN Oscar Poll Winners!

In its 7th year, AWN's Oscar Showcase poll has seen three times as many votes as previous years.

In its 7th year, AWN's Oscar Showcase poll has seen three times as many votes as previous years. In the feature category, FINDING NEMO is a winner by a fin, taking 48% of the vote, just beating out THE TRIPLETS OF BELLEVILLE, which had 47%. BROTHER BEAR was a distant third with 5%.

In the shorts category, DESTINO took a solid victory with 35% of the vote, but the little film that could NIBBLES brought in 20% for a strong second place finish. The Annie winner BOUNDIN' garnered 18%, GONE NUTTY 15% and HARVIE KRUMPET 12% to finish third, fourth and fifth respectively.

Last year, AWN poll voters picked ICE AGE over SPIRITED AWAY for Best Animated Feature and THE CATHEDRAL finished first with the eventual Oscar winner THE CHUBB CHUBBS finishing last. This year we predicted the feature right, but like last year we were way off with the shorts, again with the last place film in the poll winning the Oscar.
