South Park Wins Emmy

On Sunday, Sept. 20th, the Primetime Emmy Awards were handed out. The "Margaritaville" episode of SOUTH PARK took home the Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program (for programming less than one hour). The fellow nominees were ROBOT CHICKEN, THE SIMPSONS and AMERICAN DAD. FOSTER'S HOMES FOR IMAGINARY FRIENDS' "Destination Imagination" won the Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program (for programming one hour or more). FOSTER'S beat out AFRO SAMURAI: RESURRECTION.

In other animation news, FAMILY GUY failed in its bid to win Outstanding Comedy series, losing out to perpetual winner 30 ROCK.
