Simpsons 4 Out of 6 Odds Pays Off at WGA Awards

The Writers Guild of America, West (WGAW) and the Writers Guild of America, East (WGAE) have announced winners for outstanding achievement in television and radio writing during the 2006 season.

In the Animation category, John Frink won for "The Italian Bob" episode of THE SIMPSONS, which was nominated for three other episodes. Those nominees included: Dan Castellaneta and Deb Lacusta for "Kiss Kiss Bang Bangalore," Don Payne for "Simpsons Christmas Stories" and Matt Selman for "Girls Just Want To Have Sums." The other two nominees included "Who's Your Daddy? " form The LIFE AND TIMES OF JUNIPER LEE, written by Marsha Griffin, and "Church Hopping" from KING OF THE HILL, written by Jim Dauterive.

The 2007 Writers Guild Awards took place Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, in Los Angeles at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel and simultaneously in New York City at the Hudson Theater at the Millennium Broadway Hotel.
