THE LADY AND THE REAPER won the Goya Award (Spain's equivalent to the Oscars) for Best Animated Short over the weekend.

"I am so excited to have had a chance to thank my colleagues and to dedicate the award to my grandmother," director Javier Recio Garia said.

"We are thrilled to be recognized at home with the Goya for best animated short among such a distinguished group of nominees," producer Enrique Posner added.
