ASIFA-Hollywood has announced the nominees for the 34th Annual Annie Awards with Disney/Pixar's CARS leading all nominees with nine nods. However, fellow feature films OVER THE HEDGE and FLUSHED AWAY were close behind with eight nominations apiece while MONSTER HOUSE and OPEN SEASON garnered six nods each. In the television category, FOSTER'S HOME FOR IMAGINARY FRIENDS led all other nominees with five nominations.

The Annual Annie Awards will be held on Feb. 11, 2007, at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, California. The black-tie ceremony features Tom Kenny, the voice of SpongeBob, as its returning host. For the first time in Annie history, all voting for the 34th Annual Annie Awards will be cast online rather than by mail.

A pre-reception begins at 3:00 pm with the awards ceremony following at 5:00. A post-show celebration immediately follows on the grounds of the Alex Theatre.
