BAFTA Nominations Include WALL-E, Waltz & Persepolis

WALL-E received several BAFTA nominations, announced Thursday, including Music and Sound, along with Animated Film with WALTZ WITH BASHIR and last year's Oscar nominee for Best Animated Film, PERSPOLIS.

PERSEPOLIS and WALTZ WITH BASHIR also got nods for Film Not in the English Language, which were announced last week.

In the Short Animation category, CODSWALLOP, VARMINTS and WALLACE AND GROMIT: A MATTER OF LOAF AND DEATH received nods.

THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON, THE DARK KNIGHT, INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL, IRON MAN and QUANTUM OF SOLACE were nominated for Special Visual Effects.

The 2009 BAFTA Film Awards will be held on February 8 at London's Royal Opera House. A complete list of the nominees is as follows:
