Singapore has entered an animated doc on manga artist Yoshihiro Tatsumi, titled TATSUMI, in the race for a foreign-language feature Oscar nomination, reports Variety. Eric Khoo directed the film, which is based on the manga book A DRIFTING LIFE. The story follows Tatsimi's career during post-WWII Japan when his work brought manga to adult audiences. Tan Fong Cheng, Phil Mitchell, Freddie Yeo and Khoo are the producers.
