Avid and Microsoft Kick Off 'Make Your Mark' Series in Boston

Avid and Microsoft are collaborating to sponsor the "Make Your Mark" event series -- a four-city U.S. tour that launches Oct. 3 in Boston, 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Boston University (Photonics Center, 8 Saint Mary's Street, 9th Floor, Boston, MA, 02215).

The Boston event will kick off with an interactive panel session, moderated by Scott Campbell, General Manager of Broad Street Digital. The panel will cover tips and tricks for getting noticed and getting ahead in film, TV, music and 3D. Panelists include:

* Matt Dentler, producer of the South by Southwest Film Festival and Conference;* Debbie DeMontreux, SVP Original Productions and Development at the Independent Film Channel (IFC);* Music Industry Talent Scout, Tim Sweeney, Founder of Sweeney and Associates; and* Mark Bourbannais, President and Founder of Modus FX

Industry presenters include: Todd Akita, 3D Technical Director, PSYOP: "How to Break Into the Post Industry"

In addition to the "Make Your Mark" event in Boston, additional seminars will be held in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco throughout the month of October.
