SHERLOCK HOLMES held on to its #2 spot, bringing in $36.7 million for Warner Bros. ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS: THE SQUEAKQUEL earned $35.2 million and the #3 spot for Fox.

Universal's IT'S COMPLICATED brought in $18.8 million and the #4 spot. THE BLIND SIDE from Warner Bros. earned $11.9 million and the #5 spot over its seventh week in theaters.

UP IN THE AIR from Paramount earned $10.7 million and the #6 spot.

THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG from Buena Vista grossed $9.8 million in its sixth week in theaters, claiming the #7 spot. DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THE MORGANS? raked in nearly $5 million and the #8 spot for Sony in its third week.

NINE from The Weinstein Company earned $3.9 million and the #9 spot.

INVICTUS from Warner Bros. rounded out the top 10 for the second week in a row, raking in $3.9 million.
