Autodesk today began shipping a Korean version of Autodesk 3ds Max 2009 and Autodesk 3ds Max Design 2009 software. To meet the needs of a growing 3-D community in Korea, this version offers a translated user interface, as well as Korean product documentation and training materials. 3ds Max 2009 and 3ds Max Design 2009 software are also available in French, German, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and English.
In March 2008 Autodesk began shipping 3ds Max 2009 software for entertainment professionals, and 3ds Max Design 2009 software, a tailored 3-D application for architects, designers and visualization specialists. The Korean version of both applications is now available in Korea only. Korean 3ds Max and 3ds Max Design contain all of the features included in the English versions.
Key features in 3ds Max 2009 and 3ds Max Design 2009 include:
--A new Reveal rendering toolset, which streamlines iterative workflows--ProMaterials material library for simulating real-world surfaces--Improved interoperability with industry-standard products including Revit Architecture, Autodesk Mudbox, Autodesk Maya and Autodesk MotionBuilder software, as well as other third-party applications--Numerous biped enhancements, as well as additional time-saving animation and mapping workflow tools
3ds Max Design 2009 offers all features offered in 3ds Max 2009, with the exception of the software development toolkit (SDK). 3ds Max Design also includes Exposure technology for simulating and analyzing sun, sky and artificial lighting to assist with LEED EQ Credit 8.1 certification.
