Santa Clara, CA, August 25, 2011 – ASSIMILATE (www.assimilateinc.com), the leading provider of powerful post-production tools for digital workflows, today announced the appointment of Ezequiel Sarser as Director of European sales. As the company leverages recent sales successes of its SCRATCH Six and SCRATCH Lab data workflow product line, Sarser will be responsible for the expansion of ASSIMILATE’s European sales channels, supporting the reseller network and strengthening customer relationships across the region.

Sarser’s executive level appointment follows an intensive growth period for ASSIMILATE, following the successful NAB 2011 launch of SCRATCH Six and SCRATCH Lab on Mac OS® X and Windows 7. The company has experienced new worldwide sales into feature films, commercials, broadcast and music videos, and has stimulated fresh sales among DITs and cinematographers. New customers in Europe include The Mill and Prime Focus in London, RED Europe at Pinewood Studios, Screen Scene in Ireland, Wallpaper in France, D-Facto in Germany, Effetti Digitali in Italy, plus DIT/workflow specialists Digital Orchard and Brownian Motion.

SCRATCH Six is ASSIMILATE’s high-performance, digital cinema and broadcast finishing tool for RED and high-end digital workflows, priced at $17,995 USD. SCRATCH Lab is a comprehensive end-to-end digital system for the review, versioning, color correction, conform and deliverables of dailies created during production or the VFX process, priced at $4,995 USD.

Based in London, and a fluent speaker of several European languages, Sarser is tasked with expanding ASSIMILATE’s reseller channels, customers services and support across Europe. With a 10-year track-record as a successful media and entertainment software and hardware sales executive, he is well-known in the European post-production community, and brings to the company extensive knowledge of file-based DI workflows for high-end VFX, post production and broadcasting. Sarser is also experienced in production himself, having written and directed two documentaries and five short films, including the short fiction film Haiku, which won the Jury Award at the Art Film Festival in Slovakia.

Before joining ASSIMILATE, Sarser was international sales manager at Boneheadz, a reseller of high-tech systems for the moving image industry, headquartered in Bratislava, which includes ASSIMILATE among its product portfolio. At Boneheadz, Sarser was responsible for sales channels across 15 Eastern European countries. Prior to that he worked at media asset-management software developer Logicalway in Barcelona Spain, as well as HiCom, a reseller to the moving image industry, also based in Barcelona.

Along with his intimate knowledge of ASSIMILATE’s SCRATCH products, Sarser has also worked with products from Autodesk, The Foundry, Imagineer Systems, MTI, DFT, Cinetal and Barco. He trained in film direction and cinematography at Centre d’Estudis Cinematografics de Catalunya (Film School) in Barcelona, and taught at film schools in Buenos Aires for seven years.
