The charges against the 47-year-old claim that he uploaded the film to megaupload.com before its theatrical release. Both 20th Century Fox and the U.S. Attorney's Office do not know how the man, who has no connection to the film business, obtained the unfinished copy of the film.

If convicted, Sanchez could spend three years in jail and be fined.
