Argentinean Toon Ready to Tango

First Argentinean is set to tell the stories of 12 tango dancers and bring to the world what authentic tango is all about, reports ETTODAY.COM.

The film was originated by Cecelia, a graphic designer who works as a part-time tango instructor at this tango school, which is quite popular in this neighborhood of Buenos Aires. In 2003, she joined a Cuban multimedia designer named Raquel and started on this animated production.

"We are going to talk about all the things that happen during romantic encounters, we are going to talk about life, the work of people who live in a cosmopolitan city like Buenos Aires," said Cecelia.

The film takes place inside a tango studio. "The setting is Buenos Aires, but what happens in Buenos Aires can also happen in any other city in the world --but with one only peculiarity: all of this occurs in a tango dancing club," said multimedia designer Raquel.

The initial project was presented during a design contest made by the Buenos Aires Department of Culture where it won the "Metropolitan Enter Award." Cecelia and Raquel are seeking funding to complete the project.
