Cambridge Animation Systems has released Animo 4.0 software for the Mac OS X allowing Mac OS X users to have the same functionality as users running on the Windows operating system. The Animo software package integrates 2D and 3D animation and is used for feature films, animated television series, commercials, games and multimedia development. Features in Animo 4.0 for Mac OS X include accurate scanning and image processing to digitize and vectorize hand-drawn line artwork, tools to scan painted backgrounds and overlays, flexible color modeling with advanced color correction tools, a powerful graph-based compositor with numerous special effects and output to files, movies, digital disk recorders or Macromedia Flash (.swf) output. Animo 4.0 for Mac OS X is now available starting at US$5,530.
