The University of Teesside and the Animex Animation Festival have announced the Animex Student Animation Awards. Dedicated to promoting the art of animation and recognizing student excellence in computer animation and other techniques, Animex is now accepting entries for the 2004 competition. Winners will be chosen in nine categories, and an Audience Award will also be presented. Any frame by frame or computer assisted animated film or video produced as a student work and created between January 1, 2002 and July 31, 2003, is eligible for entry. The competition is free to enter and open to all international applicants. Winners of the awards will be announced at the Animex festival in January 2004.
