SUMMER WARS director Mamoru Hosoda will make OKAMI KODOMO NO AME TO YUKI (THE WOLF CHILDREN'S RAIN AND SNOW) his next project, reports Variety. The story follows two kids whose mother is human and father is a man-wolf.

Hosoda is reuniting with many of his SUMMER WARS collaborators including screenwriter Satoko Okudera, character designer Yoshiyuki Sadamoto and exec producer Seiji Okuda.

Toho will release the film in Japan in July.
