Hayao Miyazaki is working on a sequel to PORCO ROSSO, reports Cut Magazine. The original film followed an Italian World War I fighter pilot who was changed into a pig by a curse. In the new film, titled PORCO ROSSO: THE LAST SORTIE, Porco Rosso gets wrapped up in the Spanish Civil War. This project marks the first direct sequel for Studio Ghibli.

It seems that he broke the curse when Fio kissed him at the ending.

It ended by not explaining anything. He didn't break the curse and he didn't get with Gena.

Whose Thea i didn't see her in porco rosso, could her alternate name be Fio Piccolo in the english version?

Of course not Thea!

Porco's relationship with Thea is entirely platonic. Gina, however, he loves, even if he doesn't seem that way

I love all of his films. I would be interested to know if Porco ends up choosing Gina or Thea

What’s wrong with having more of a good thing? Entertainment, it's all food for the imagination!

This utterly undermines the wonderful design of the ending of the first Porco Rosso. Which is one of the only movies I've watched in the last 6 months that actually has a working ending.
