The latest Acrobat edition of Animation World Magazine has now gone live for free for a limited time. This time around the focus is recruiting and jobs. Janet Hetherington talks to professionals in the animation, TV and film industries to find out what they did before they landed their dream job. Karen Raugust reports on how digital technologies have changed the recruiting process, but passion, talent and teamwork still rule.

Additionally, Bill Desowitz goes on his merry way through SHREK THE THIRD to report on the many advancements at PDI/DreamWorks. Japanese director Satoshi Kon sat down with Greg Singer to discuss the making of his latest animated feature, PAPRIKA. As THE SIMPSONS reaches its 400th episode, Strike chronicles the rise of the longest running sitcom's rise from a symbol of the fall of Western society to a symbolic American icon. John Cawley chronicles Winnie the Pooh's long history in film, leading up to his new CG incarnation in MY FRIENDS TIGGER & POOH.

In columns, Martin "Dr. Toon" Goodman recounts the memorable cartoon theme songs that have become fond parts of our collective pop culture. In her bi-monthly column, Nancy Cartwright chats with Carolyn Omine, THE SIMPSONS writer and consulting producer. In "Career Coach," Pamela Kleibrink Thompson asks whether you're playing Mother May I with your life and career.

As for reviews, Sabrina Schmid travels to Stuttgart for the Festival of Animated Film to report her impressions about the animations, the filmmakers, the events and the atmosphere. Russell Bekins checks in at Cartoons on the Bay to check out the latest and greatest in the world of television animation. Bekins also attends the Bologna Children's Book Festival and finds so many licensing opportunities that it's an event that's not just about books. Jean Detheux chronicles Visual Music Marathon, the festival that came out of nowhere and set a benchmark, instantly. For this month's trio of anime reviews, Chris Feldman gives us his thoughts on BLACK JACK VOL. 1-3, TACTICS VOL. 4 and COYOTE RAGTIME SHOW.
