G4 Getting Four Anime-Inspired Marvel Series

Sony Pictures TV has inked a deal with G4 to bring four anime-inspired TV series based on Marvel superheroes to the air, reports VARIETY. The series will be based on Iron Man, the X-Men, Wolverine and Blade.

Japanese animation company Madhouse is behind the series in conjunction with Marvel Entertainment and Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan. Warren Ellis wrote treatments for the episodes, which were scripted by Madhouse. The stories will take place in Japan.

Each series has received a 12x22 order.
