Animator Joe Blackwell is taking animation to the airwaves with the debut of B.R.A.T.S. (Blackwell's Radio Animation Talk Show), a new weekly radio program featuring highlights from the world of animation. The show promises behind the scenes discussions of video games, television commercials, movies and Websites, as well as interviews with members of the animation community. Originating in New York City and also broadcast in New Jersey, B.R.A.T.S airs on WJUX 103.1FM and is simulcast on 94.3FM and 99.7FM in the New York and New Jersey area. For listeners outside the broadcast area, the show can be accessed via the Website. The premiere broadcast is scheduled for Thursday, September 26, 2002 and will feature special guest James Parris, whose recent projects include work on the upcoming feature films X-MEN 2, ADAM SANDLER'S 8 CRAZY NIGHTS and DAREDEVIL. Future scheduled guests include Kenn Navaro and Rhode Montijo of Mondo Media, creators of the Web-based cartoon turned DVD hit, HAPPY TREE FRIENDS.
