Magnolia Pictures is adding a short film to the theatrical presentations of MAN ON WIRE in New York and Los Angeles: Michael Sporn's THE MAN WHO WALKED BETWEEN THE TOWERS. It is an award-winning, animated adaptation of Mordicai Gerstein's Caldecott Medal-winning children's book. The 2005 short film is narrated by Jake Gyllenhaal, and is an elegant adaptation of the children's book that illustrates the planning and execution of Philippe Petit's legendary wire walk between the two towers of the World Trade Center in 1974.
Beginning on Friday, September 5, THE MAN WHO WALKED BETWEEN THE TOWERS will follow all screenings of MAN ON WIRE at The Landmark in Los Angeles, and at Landmark's Sunshine Cinema in New York City.
