Press Release from HIT Entertainment

New York, NY  – Aspiring ballerinas will be able to wear their passion for dance from the inside out as HIT Entertainment, a leading provider of quality children’s entertainment, partners with Fruit of the Loom, one of the world’s most revered and trusted brands of apparel for the entire family, to launch a new line of Angelina Ballerina underwear.  The Angelina Ballerina Fruit of the Loom character underwear will launch at retail in the US in Spring 2011.  Designs will be based on the new CG-animated look in the television program, Angelina Ballerina The Next Steps, which airs on PBS KIDS.

Fruit of the Loom will create and market Angelina Ballerina girls’ packaged briefs available in sizes 4-8.  The designs for girls will showcase the love of dance and fun exhibited by Angelina Ballerina and her friends.

“Kids love wearing their favorite characters – and no one does character underwear better than Fruit of the Loom,” said Stacey Reiner, Vice President, Licensing, US & Canada, HIT Entertainment Global Brands. “The Fruit of the Loom brand is renowned for high quality, and we’re thrilled to partner with them to launch this category for Angelina Ballerina.”

"Angelina Ballerina is a character that girls love, and we are pleased to partner with HIT to allow girls to connect with one of their favorite characters through licensed underwear," said Karen Sahetya, Director of Marketing, Fruit of the Loom.

The launch of Angelina Ballerina underwear follows a recent announcement that Topsville was named Angelina’s master apparel partner with lines launching at retail in Fall 2010.
