Alphanim's 'Green Squad' Heads to Germany

Alphanim signs Lizenzwerft GmbH as the licensing agent for the animated series, “The Green Squad.”

Vincennes, France --

At the close of the Nuremberg Toy Fair and with the launch date set for March 20, 2013 on the German broadcaster KI.KA, Alphanim announced the company has entrusted Lizenzwerft GmbH as licensing agent for its eco-adventure animated series The Green Squad (52 X 13’).  The announcement was made by Cedric Petitpas, Vice President, Marketing, Consumer Products & Business Development for Alphanim.  The Green Squad will be renamed Das Green Team for German television audiences.

"If there is one gap in the German licensing business it is a property that cares for animals and nature and does this with the humor of Indiana Jones,” stated Peter Bichler, Managing Director, Lizenzwerft. “We are proud and happy to be the licensing agent of a very new kind of animation story with a chance to make a long lasting impression to kids and teens."

“The environment and nature protection have been key subjects in Germany for decades and we look forward to witnessing the resonance an animated adventure-comedy like The Green Squad will have with young audiences,” commented Petitpas.  “We are grateful to have such a top broadcast partner as KI.KA and look forward to working with Peter and Dirk on the launch of a solid and long-lasting licensing programme for the brand”.

The Green Squad, co-produced by Alphanim, Europool and France Télévisions, is an eco-travel adventure show where three siblings enlist the aid of a global blogging network to save the planet’s natural treasures. The series was recently sold in a number of countries across the globe including Starz in the US and Discovery Kids in Asia.
