Alphanim Opens Zombie Hotel

Alphanim has launched its new animated series ZOMBIE HOTEL, a 26 half-hour spooky sitcom, co-produced with Irish partners Magma Films and Telegael. BBC, France 3 and Canal J commissioned the show, which has been developed in-house by Alphanim and is produced in association with Luxembourg-based Luxanimation and Hosem in Hong Kong. Alphanim Distribution will handle worldwide distribution rights for TV, video, licensing and merchandising. The series is scheduled for delivery spring 2005.

The series follows wide-eyed twins Fungus and Maggot who live in Zombie Hotel along with their mom and dad Zombies, Rictus and Funerella, and a couple of strange employees. When business gets slow, the twins and their human friend Sam have to come to the rescue.

Clément Calvet, producer at Alphanim, said, "We are particularly glad to strike this first deal with our Irish partners from Magma Films and Telegael. By the way, our prestigious broadcasting partners and those who will soon join us, are welcome anytime for a pleasant stay at the ZOMBIE HOTEL.
