Alliance Atlantis Communications Inc. has appointed BBC Worldwide (U.K.), m4e (Germany) and ABC (Australia) licensing agents for new children's stop-motion animated property, LUNAR JIM. Each of the licensing agents, working alongside master toy licensee, Fisher-Price, will oversee the licensing program, including securing new licenses and managing product launches, in their respective territories.
"Children around the world all share the same sky and moon and we are building a stellar team of agents and partners to deliver that fantasy globally, through the adventures of LUNAR JIM," says Jennifer Bennett, vp, merchandising and licensing, Alliance Atlantis.
Co-produced by The Halifax Film Co. and Alliance Atlantis, LUNAR JIM (26x30 or 52x11) transports preschoolers into an exciting world of discovery, fun and adventure while promoting problem-solving skills through persistence, creativity and cooperation. Jims friends include Rover the Robot Dog, Ripple the Super Space Mechanic, Eco the Farmer and T.E.D., the Technical Equipment Device Together they live in Moona Luna, a village much like any other, except for one big difference -- it's on the moon. And Jim and his gang are always ready to get lunar, whether it's finding a missing moon melon or exploring the magical crystal caves.
LUNAR JIM debuts in early 2006 in various regions, including on the BBC and CBeebies in the U.K., ZDF and Kika in Germany, ABC in Australia, Discovery Communications in Pan Latin America and on CBC, SRC and BBC Kids in Canada.
