CLERMONT-FERRAND, France — Dec. 3, 2009 – Allegorithmic today announced that Virtuos, a leading provider of digital entertainment offshore production services, will join leading Asian developers NCSoft, The9, T3 Entertainment and Gravity as the latest company to adopt Allegorithmic’s Substance technology into its art production pipeline.

Substance is the new suite of tools from Allegorithmic and includes Substance Air, the company’s middleware solution that allows artists to easily produce micro file size textures, boost productivity and unleash user-generated content. Substance is poised to redefine the development and distribution of rich content for the next generation of online and retail games by guaranteeing the most advanced texture authoring process and the lightest texture description files.

Virtuos will deploy its Substance-trained artists on current projects, and will also integrate the tool into its next-generation art pipeline. Virtuos also plans to provide training and support for Substance in the broader Asia region.
