Ahn Upped to NBC Universal TV Networks Distribution EVP

Henry Ahn has been promoted to evp, NBCU Television Networks Distribution, responsible for all sales and sales support of NBCU's television content to cable, satellite and telco industries.

Ahn will continue to work closely with JB Perrette, president, NBCU Digital Distribution and his team, to deliver digital products to all of NBCU Television Networks Distribution's customers.

"Henry has been an integral part of NBC Universal's distribution team, leading the negotiations and managing the relationships with our cable, satellite and telco customers," said Bridget Baker, president, NBCU Television Networks Distribution, to whom he'll report. "His leadership will help drive and build our business as we move to enhance our multi-platform distribution strategy."

Reporting to Ahn in his new role, in addition to his current direct reports are Brian Hunt, vp, national accounts, affiliate field marketing and local ad sales; Heidi Newman, vp of national accounts; and Lee Crain, vp of national accounts.

Ahn was svp of affiliate sales, NBCU Cable, where he led the field sales team in securing the distribution of NBC Universal's cable networks. Recent deals negotiated by Ahn include AT&T Inc., Verizon, Cablevision, Mediacom, NCTC and Rogers Communications.

Prior to his work in affiliate sales, Ahn was instrumental in expanding NBC Cable's strategic vision and reach as NBC Cable's vp of strategy and sales operations. He led cable distribution integrations; increased the subscriber base for Bravo, CNBC, MSNBC, Telemundo, mun2, ShopNBC and CNBC World; and was instrumental in securing distribution deals for the Olympics on the NBC cable networks. He joined NBC Enterprises in 1994 as a business manager.
