Mania.com reports that Sam Worthington will star in a screen adaptation of Radical Publishing's comic THE LAST DAYS OF AMERICAN CRIME. The comic's creator Rick Remender told the website that he'll be adapting the script. The story is set in a near future where the government plans to use a mind-control device that will stop criminal impulses in all humans. This spurs thief Graham Brick to slap together a crew in order to do one last job before the new order is unleased.

Radical head Barry Levine and Michael Schwarz are producing. Remender will take some producing credit as well.
