Forest Whitaker, Anthony Mackie, Mike Epps and Sanaa Lathan have been cast in the voodoo-themed horror flick VIPAKA, reports Heat Vision. Philippe Caland, who directed Whitaker in the RIPPLE EFFECT, is directing from Shin Shimosawa's script.

In the story, a troubled contractor (Whitaker) looks for guidance from a life coach (Mackie), but the more disturbed he gets he kidnaps the therapist and his family. Lathan will play Mackie's wife and Epps his brother.

Whitaker and Nina Yang are the producers.

Filming will take place in New Orleans beginning this week.
