Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck has made a return to spy thriller THE TOURIST, VARIETY reports.

The director apparently came to terms with creative differences that prompted his exit last fall. The film, which is based on the original script from Julian Fellowes and then later rewritten by Christopher McQuarrie and Jeffrey Nachmanoff, stars Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie. The Columbia Pictures project is slated to begin shooting this spring.
