Benjamin Walker (ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER) is in talks to join the cast of Legendary Pictures' PARADISE LOST, reports Deadline.com. He would play archangel Michael opposite Bradley Cooper as Lucifer.

Based on John Milton's poem, Lucifer wages war against all things good after God casts him out of heaven. Byron Willinger and Philip de Blasi penned the first draft with revamps coming from Stuart Hazeldine, Lawrence Kasdan and Ryan Condal.

Alex Proyas (DARK CITY) is directing. Legendary's Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni, and Vincent Newman are the producers.

Filming will take place in Sydney in January. Warner Bros. hopes to release the film in Q4 2013.
