Twilight's Laurent Enrolls in X-Men: First Class

Edi Gathegi, best known as the vampire Laurent in the TWILIGHT series, will play the role of Darwin in X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, reports Deadline.com. The bi-racial character can evolve and adapt to the environment he is in.

Gathegi joins James McAvoy (Xavier), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Alice Eve (Emma Frost), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Caleb Landry Jones (Banshee) and Lucas Till (Havoc). Kevin Bacon will play a currently secret villain.

Matthew Vaughn is directing.
