Stephen Moyer (TRUE BLOOD) will star in a horror film dealing with the Jersey Devil legend, titled THE BARRENS, reports Variety. Darren Lynn Bousman (SAW II) wrote the script and is directing.

The story follows a man who takes his family camping in the New Jersey Pine Barrens where he becomes convinced that the Jersey Devil is stalking them.

Bousman, The Genre Co.'s Richard Saperstein and Brian Witten and as John Eckert are producing. Shara Kay is the co-producer. Anchor Bay Ent. will handle U.S. distribution. Nicolas Chartier's Voltage Pictures will rep the international sales.
