Olivia Thirlby (JUNO) will be the female lead in DNA Films' JUDGE DREDD, reports Variety. She takes the role of Cassandra Anderson, a telepathic newbie who partners with Dredd (Karl Urban).
Pete Travis (VANTAGE POINT) will direct from a script from Alex Garland (28 DAYS LATER).
Reliance Big Entertainment and IM Global will produce the $45 million flick with DNA.
Production will take place in South Africa later in the year.
