Variety reports that three actress have made the final list of contenders for the female lead in Zack Snyder's SUPERMAN and the role isn't Lois Lane. Alice Eve (SHE'S OUT OF MY LEAGUE), Diane Kruger (INGLOURIOUS BASTARDS) and Rosamund Pike (AN EDUCATION) are the actresses in contention.

David Goyer penned the script. Christopher Nolan is the producer. Warner Bros. hopes to get cameras rolling this summer with Dec. 2012 set for the film's release.
